The very first page!  *collapses*  I cannot believe I spent three hours on the castle in panel 1, but I am glad that I did.  This was the first time that I attempted to draw architecture in a serious manner, and I freely admit that I googled reference photos of real castles to help get it to look semi-realistic.

This page and all that will follow are done traditionally: pencil, ruler, eraser, and inking pens.  On this page, I did color the night black in Paintshop Pro 7.   The original white sky just did not set the correct mood (nighttime), so I felt this small digital addition would be fine.  It was also an experiment, because I plan to have a few scenes later on that will also be outdoors at night…
